The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) recently released its list of Academic Student Athlete Award winners for the 2013-2014 year and 12 student-athletes from Genesee Community College received honors.
The awards were broken down into three categories:
Pinnacle Academic Achievement: (4.0 GPA)
Superior Academic Achievement: (3.80-3.99 GPA)
Exemplary Academic Achievement: (3.60-3.79 GPA)
Earning academic achievements from GCC were:

Cameron Evans (Men's Soccer): Exemplary
Chelsea Gerace (Volleyball): Superior
Erina Hayashi (Volleyball): Superior
Alexander Lyons (Baseball): Exemplary
Michelle Nagle (Volleyball): Superior
Andrea Pursel (Volleyball/Softball): Superior
Yuiki Sasao (Women's Lacrosse): Superior
Sohei Sasho (Men's Basketball): Exemplary
Leah Staley (Volleyball): Superior
Mako Yokota (Women's Basketball): Exemplary
