BATAVIA, NY... On February 11th, Genesee Women's Soccer signed their ninth recruit for the upcoming season, Abby Statskey. Abby is a 5'5" midfielder from Rush-Henrietta and has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old. She also has roughly 30 career assists and participates in the pentathlon on her track team.
Head Coach, Jeff Reyngoudt, had recruited Abby last summer while watching her play for her summer team. "She is a strong distributor and sees the game well. I was impressed by her level of play and she stood out right away on the field", stated Reyngoudt. When Abby signed, she brought a big group with her, which showed what kind of loving family and supportive friends she surrounds herself with. Many of the current Genesee Women's soccer players were also present, which made for an exciting signing.
