Genesee Women's Volleyball Showcases Resilience in POD Play

Jamestown, New York - Genesee Women’s volleyball traveled to Jamestown CC for a POD play against Hudson Valley Community College and Adirondack Community College.

The Cougars would go down in the first set(18-25) but their resilience would push them to tie it up in the second set(26-24). The third set would be their strongest, taking it 25-13 and reclaiming the lead. Hudson would make a push and tie things up 2-2. Set five would come down to the wire, but the Cougars would be the ones to prevail in the five set match. Sydney Martin played a crucial role in this match, contributing with 3 aces, 4 kills, 29 assists, 11 digs as well as a block assist.

The second game came to be a tough finish, but the Cougars would fight their way through in a 0-3 loss to Adirondack.

The Cougars will be back at home, this Tuesday, 6:00 PM for a conference matchup against Jefferson Community College.
