Volleyball splits at Onondaga POD
Syracuse, New York - Genesee Women's volleyball battled hard as they split the day at OCC POD Play. The team started out the day losing to Onondaga 3-1 but finished beating Jamestown 3-2, leading to the team being 1-5 as they continued through the season.
 
The Cougars went down in the first set against Onondaga but fought back to win the second set 25-15. But after falling in the third set they moved on to take on Jamestown. After winning the first set against Jamestown the Cougars went back to even after a close second set. But backed behind a great performance by Sydney Martin the team was able to secure the victory after five sets. Martin ended with 21 assists, 10 digs, 5 kills, and 6 aces against the Jayhawks. Up next is some more POD Play at Corning Community College Saturday September 9th with
games at 10am and 1pm.
