Bliss Commits to Genesee Community College

On December 11th, Brittany Bliss committed to the Genesee Women's Soccer team for the 2024 season. Brittany is a 5'4" goal-scoring forward and started 3 years for the Pioneer High School Varsity girls' soccer team. She has 25 career goals and 19 career assists. Bliss was awarded ECIC III First Team her junior year and ECIC III Second Team her senior year. She was also a captain, and her team won the Division Title her junior and senior year. Bliss played 10 years of travel soccer for the Arcade Express as well. As for academics, Brittany was #11 in her class and was on High Honor Roll. She plans to major in Teacher Education and hopes to become a Physical Education/Health Teacher.

Brittany's older sister, Ashley Bliss, also played for the Cougars and was an All-American forward, two-time All-Region player, and a two-time All-Conference player. Ashley played on the team when the Genesee women went to Nationals in 2021 and won the Regional Championship. "We are so happy about Brittany committing to play for us and we are hoping she will follow in the footsteps of her sister. It's incredibly exciting to be adding another strong forward to our program," stated Head Coach Jeff Reyngoudt.

Jeff and Macy have been meeting with a lot of recruits and have some more commitments coming up. The Cougars ended their 2023 season with a 9-5-1 record. If you are interested in trying out for next year's 2024 Genesee Cougars, please email Jeff Reyngoudt at jcreyngoudt@genesee.edu.
