BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College women's soccer team defeated the Roberts Wesleyan University Redhawks JV 2-1 Tuesday on Sophomore Night. 

Megan Rinker would get Genesee on the board early in the opening half after receiving a pass from Tatum Gagne. Grace Devine would regain the Cougars lead with less than seven minutes remaining in the opening half off an indirect kick. 

The Genesee offense put 16 shots on net in the contest. Sarah Kidder made two saves in net for Genesee. 

The match against Roberts JV was the regular season finale for the women's soccer program. Genesee will be participating in the NJCAA Region III Division III playoffs, with times and opponents TBA. Follow Genesee Athletics on social media and on www.geneseeathletics.com
