Conover Joins Genesee Women's Soccer Recruiting Class

Abby Conover Signs with GCC Womens Soccer

Genesee Women's Soccer signed their sixth recruit of the year, Abby Conover, on March21st. Abby is a 5'6" forward and a 4-year varsity starter for Marion High School girls' soccerteam. She scored 18 goals and had 12 assists for the Black Knights during her senior season and was named second-team All-Wayne County. She finished her high school career with 45 goals and 31 assists. Conover is on her high school's basketball and softball team as well. She will be pursuing a major in Physical Education while attending GCC.

"Abby is a very exciting signing for us because she is exactly the kind of forward we were missing in our last season. We know she will be a great fit and will exceed our expectations", stated Head Coach Jeff Reyngoudt. Reyngoudt also mentioned that Marion has always had a strong girls team and we're happy to start a connection with their program.

Jeff, Macy, and Kelly have been working hard to add more great additions to the team.They will be signing more players in the next few months and are excited about next season's incoming class. The Cougars ended their 2022 season with a 10-4-2 record and competed at the National Tournament, finishing 4th in the country. If you are interested in trying out for nextyear's 2023 Genesee Cougars, please email Jeff Reyngoudt at jcreyngoudt@genesee.edu.
