Fuller's Two Goals Help Lead Genesee Over SJFC JV

GCC defeats SJFC JV 5-1

BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Women's Soccer program picked up their sixth win of the year with a win over St. John Fisher JV, 5-1.

Ashley Bliss put Genesee on the scoreboard first when she buried one in the net off a pass from Kelsey Fuller. Bryn Luckey would grow the Cougars' lead to 2-0 before the end of the first half scoring off a through ball from Chloe Barrett.

Fuller would later net her first goal of the contest with help from Gabby Bigham and a volley off the cross shot to give Genesee a 3-0 lead. About four minutes later, Ayuka Toshimoto took a give-and-go ball from Brianna Raniewicz to the net to grow Genesee's lead to 4-0. St John Fisher JV would not go quietly however, as they were able to get one back and trim the Cougar lead to 4-1 with about 25 minutes left in regulation. Fuller added one more goal for Genesee with two and a half minutes remaining in the game to solidify Genesee's 5-1 victory and improve their record to 6-0.

Kellie Brewer played all 90 minutes in goal for Genesee, allowing one goal on 6 shots.
