Genesee Picks Up Win on Sophomore Day

BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College women's lacrosse team picked up their sixth win of the season Thursday afternoon, by defeating the Jefferson Community College Cannoneers 19-4 on Sophomore Day.

Freshman Hannah Kirisits scored seven goals on the day and added three assists. Sophomore Ashley Barclay scored four goals and two assists and fellow sophomore Bri Heers recorded a hat trick. Riley Marconi scored three goals and added an assist. Netminder Ryley O'Mara made five saves in net for Genesee.

Next for the Cougars will be the NJCAA Region III Final Four taking place next weekend, May 11-12 at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY.
