BUFFALO, NY – The Genesee Community College women's lacrosse team earned their second consecutive win of the season Wednesday afternoon, defeating the Erie Community College Kats 15-3.

The Cougars (2-2) got on the board quickly and often throughout their contest at West Herr Stadium in Orchard Park. For the second straight game, Lancaster native Hannah Kirisits led the way offensively for Genesee with five goals and two assists. Rachel Ladd (Mexico) scored four goals on the day with an assist. Churchville's Ashley Barclay scored two goals as did Bri Heers (Newfane). Leah Czechowski (Akron) scored a goal and added an assist and Riley Marconi (Rochester) also found the back of the net. Jenny Yuhnke (Pavilion) had an assist. Ryley O'Mara (Holley) made eight save on 11 Kats shots.

Genesee returns home this weekend for a pair of contests against North Country Community College on Saturday and Sunday. Faceoff will be at noon both days and both games will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com
