Vannelli Joins Genesee Swimming and Diving

Mitchell Vannelli signs letter of intent to join Genesee swimming

Genesee Men's Swimming signed their third recruit of the year, Mitchell Vannelli, on June 16th. Mitchell is an individual medley and breaststroke swimmer from Depew High School. His best 200-yard Individual Medley time is 2:17 and his best time for the 100-yard breaststroke is 1:07. He swims in the 200 Medley Relay as well. Vannelli was a 5-year varsity swimmer for Depew. Mitchell graduated from Depew in 2020 and went onto Daemen College. He is in the 1+2+1 program where he will be obtaining his Nursing Degree here at GCC.

Head Coach Jeff Reyngoudt's first year coaching the swim team was in fall of 2019 and he has already made tremendous strides with the team. He hopes to build a swim team around his three most recent signees and the other incoming recruits where they will continue to be a force at Regionals and Nationals. "I'm excited about Mitchell and I know he is going to be a great addition to the team", said Jeff.

Jeff and assistant coach, Macy Reyngoudt, are continuing to recruit for the 2021-2022 season. They have been speaking to many 2021 prospects and will be signing more swimmers this summer. If you are interested in trying out for next year's 2021-2022 Genesee Cougars, please email Jeff Reyngoudt at jcreyngoudt@genesee.edu.
