BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College softball team is pleased to announce that Taya Townley has signed her Letter of Intent to attend and play softball at Genesee Community College.

Townley will be enrolling in the General Studies program at Genesee, in pursuits to be either a Criminal Psychologist or a Probation Officer. Taya is part of the Justice Academy offered at the College.

Taya is a pitcher for the Alexander Trojans softball team, as well as played both basketball and soccer. She was named Scholar Athlete for basketball. When Taya is on campus this coming fall, she will join fellow Trojans’ Madison Bykowski and Jordin Cecere as Cougar teammates.

Taya’s role model is her dad because “he is hard working and I have always looked up to him”. She enjoys being outside in her free time along with hanging out with her friends. Outside of playing sports, Taya enjoys working with children and animals. Her favorite pregame meal is spaghetti.
