BATAVIA, NY… #6 Genesee Men's Soccer picked up their seventh win of the season with a shutout victory over Erie on the road, 5-0.
The Cougars leading goal scorer, Matheus Spina, added two more goals to his season total (10), and Nathan Gilhooly added another goal for Genesee. Sebastiao Nolasco chipped in his third goal of the year and Joao Pedro Buesso scored his first goal of the season.
Spina, Romaine Watkis, and Luiz Gustavo all finished with one assist a piece.
Augusto Rivero Fernandez played all ninety minutes of the shutout in net for the Cougars.
Genesee welcomes #2 Herkimer to Batavia on October 2 at 3:30pm for what will be a crucial NJCAA National and NJCAA Region III matchup.
