BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College Cougars men's basketball team came up short in their home opener against Jefferson CC Cannoneers Thursday night, falling 76-75.
Damani Hinks had a team-high 19 points to lead the Cougars offense, coming off the bench. Hinks collected four rebounds and dished out three assists. Zaphian Scott had a double-double, scoring 12 points while collecting 15 rebounds, and two steals. Deontay Sprattley scored 11 points and had five assists. CJ McCullum scored 10 points and had two steals.
Genesee (0-3, 0-1) will continue their home stand on Saturday, November 11 as they take on SUNY Broome at 2pm.
