Genesee Ends Four-Game Skid; Picks Up Conference Win vs Jamestown

BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College men's basketball team ended their four-game losing streak on Wednesday night as they defeated the Jamestown Community College Jayhawks inside the Anthony T Zambito Gymnasium.  The Cougars record moves to 13-13 on the season with a 4-5 record in conference play.

Kevin Major led the way for Genesee off the Cougars bench as Major scored 17 points. Jamir Cheek scored 4 points with five assists and seven rebounds. Alpha Camara scored 11 points. Jarett Haines scored 10 points to go along with his four rebounds and four steals. Javin Williams scored 10 points.

Genesee will salute their sophomore athletes on Saturday afternoon as they host the Mercyhurst Northeast Saints in the regular season finale.  Tip-Off is scheduled for 3:00 pm and the game will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com
