Panthers Blanked at Home by #8 Genesee

For the second straight game, the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's soccer team hosted a nationally ranked opponent. On Sunday, #8-ranked Genesee Community College came to Dryden to take on the Panthers, and the result was a 6-0 win for the Cougars. Genesee is now 5-1 overall, 4-2 in Region 3, and 1-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Tompkins Cortland is 0-3 overall and in region, and 0-1 in the MSAC.

Genesee opened the scoring in the 14th minute of play, the first of five goals before halftime. The last tally of the game came with 12 minutes left, as Tompkins Cortland goalkeeper Genevieve Elliott (Bath/Penn Yan Academy) put forth a valiant effort with 14 saves.
