There is no other National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association D-III soccer program currently enjoying better success than Genesee Community College.
It became the only school with two, top-three teams in soccer today as the NJCAA released its latest polls, with both polls containing images of Genesee players.
While the women's team remained No. 1 after securing the top spot last week, the men's team continued to climb the polls – this week to No. 3.
The women's team remained undefeated in D-III play last week after a 2-2 tie against No. 2 Erie, who also continues to remain behind the Cougar women's team after enjoying the top spot for two weeks of their own until Genesee unseated them. The men's team has now won seven in a row and eight of its last nine matches including a national ranking matchup of its own against No. 8 Erie last week. The Cougars got the game winner in the game's first 90 seconds and consequently knocked the Kats from the nation's top-10 in this week's poll. Both teams are in action tomorrow as they host Jamestown Community College.
