Genesee Defeats Finger Lakes in Four Sets; Remains Unbeaten at Home

BATAVIA, NY…  The Genesee Community College women's volleyball team got back on track Thursday night as they defeated Finger Lakes Community College in four sets to improve to 9-8 on the season. The Cougars defeated the Lakers 25-22, 25-14, 25-14 after dropping the first set 25-22.

Ana Carolina Cerezer Pinto led the way with 13 kills. Cerezer also had eight digs and one block. Kaitlyn VanSkiver had four blocks to go with her four kills. Grace Masse led the way in assists with 13 and Neely Abrams had 12. Masse had four aces along with Katie Alsworth.

The volleyball program returns home on Tuesday, October 15 against Niagara County Community College. Game time from inside the Anthony T Zambito Gymnasium on the Batavia campus is scheduled for 6pm. The game will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com
