The Genesee Community College women's soccer team rounded out the month of March with yet another top player from the Greater Rochester area after announcing the signing of Alexa Jordan to its 2018 roster.

A top recruit from Williamson High School and competing in New York State Public High School Athletic Associations' Section V Class C, Jordan has an accomplished soccer resume that includes two All-Greater Rochester Honorable Mentions during her junior and senior seasons out of Wayne County.

The forward striker was the only Marauder with that distinction in back-to-back seasons with selections coming from 17 different divisions and regions with multiple division selections from the counties of Monroe, Allegany, Livingston and Steuben. Only the Genesee Region and Wayne County – where Jordan was selected from – had single divisions within the GR selection demographic.

The senior captain amassed nearly 50 goals and 100-plus points during her high-school soccer career that spanned four seasons. Her last two years were the most productive on the score sheet, where she netted between 15-20 goals and 35-40 points in each season.

She helped her team to the Section V Class C-I finals as an honor student, who also competed in basketball and softball. In addition to her four years with the Williamson High School varsity girls soccer team, she was also a member of the Williamson Wildcats Soccer Club.

Jordan plans to pursue a career in the medical field while studying nursing at GCC.

GCC head women's soccer coach Jeff Reyngoudt looks to improve upon last season with returning National Junior College Athletic Association All-American Miko Yamashita. The 2017 GCC women's soccer team went unbeaten in its first 10 games against opponents at the same division while climbing to a national ranking of No. 1 along the way.
