The No. 2 Genesee Community College women's soccer team rebounded from its only National Junior College Athletic Association D-III loss to now-No. 1 Herkimer, with a 1-0 shutout road win at Finger Lakes Community College, Oct. 11.

The Cougars dominated the contest in attempted shots at 25-4, shots on net at 16-3 and corner kicks at 8-4.

Miko Yamashita got the lone goal of the contest and game winner from Leah Czechowski in the 21-st minute of the first half.

Jaclyn Guzdek recorded another shutout between the pipes with three saves on the day.

The Cougars continue on the road with a contest against North Country Community College, Oct. 14 with a 1 p.m. start.
