Genesee Community College freshman goalkeeper Maddie Potter (Oakfield, NY), was recently named a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Women' Soccer All-American for the 2013 season. She was named to the All-American Second Team.
Potter started in goal in 15 games. She allowed an average of just 0.94 goals per game and amassed a record of 12-2-1. She recorded seven shutout wins and had a save percentage that was better than 85%. Potter was a member of the All-Region First team and All-Conference First Team this season as well.
Genesee finished the season ranked fifth in the NJCAA National Poll and ended the season with a 13-4-1 overall record. The Lady Cougars advanced to the Region III Group B Finals, where they lost to SUNY Delhi, 3-2 in overtime.
