Genesee Falls to Top-Ranked Harford

BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College women's lacrosse team dropped their NJCAA Lacrosse contest against the Harford Community College Fighting Owls 18-3 Friday afternoon.  

Rachel Ladd scored the first goal for Genesee after trailing early 2-0 to the number one ranked team in the country. After Ladd's goal, the Harford Fighting Owls would score the next nine goals and took a commanding lead. Reigning NJCAA Lacrosse and NJCAA Region III Player of the Week Bri Heers would score from a Grace Freeman pass to cut the Fighting Owls lead to 11-2 at halftime.

In the second half, the Fighting Owls continued their scoring ways. Hannah Kirisits would score a free position goal halfway through the second half to get Genesee's only goal in the half. Ryley  O'Mara made nine saves in net for the Cougars.

Genesee (4-3) hosts Howard Community College next Saturday, April 27 at 12pm.
