McComb leads Genesee to Road Win at Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY… Grace McComb scored a team-high 19 points to lead the Genesee women's basketball team to a 71-69 victory over the Jamestown Community College Jayhawks Wednesday evening. The victory puts the Cougars' record to 15-7 on the season and 3-2 in conference play.

McComb's 19 points also came with six steals and three assists to power the Cougars offense in a game that stayed close throughout the entire game. Genesee was down by nine points after the end of the first quarter and battled back for the road victory, their sixth of the season. Tylasia Weaver produced a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Chevaneese Millington scored 12 points off the Cougars bench.

Genesee returns home on Saturday, February 9 to play the Erie Community College Kats in a key conference matchup. The game will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com and on 90.7FM WGCC's Facebook page.
