Softball

Taylor Spurling took over the Genesee Softball Program in 2015 after working as the Assistant Softball Coach for 3 years prior.

In her time as head coach, Spurling's dedication to the program has helped lead Genesee to the Region III playoff tournament and apperances in the Final Four NJCAA Region III Tournament. In 2017 Maurer was recognized as the Region III Coach of The Year. 

Along with on-the-field responsibilities, Spurling is the Full Time Residence Coordinator for College Village, the housing facilities at Genesee. There, she provides direction and support that focusses on the academic success of the students. She believes in an open door policy where she provides a family atmosphere both on the field and in the office.

Spurling is also very much involved in the community attending local high school practices, running youth camps, and one on one lessons for local athletes.

Spurling is locally born and raised in Pembroke NY and attended Genesee after graduation. She is a Genesee Softball alumni and a former captain on the softball team. She was a second team All-Conference selection in 2010 and led her team to the NJCAA Region III Final Four. After Genesee, Spurling continued her education and playing career at SUNY Cortland where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources.
