Cougars Softball Signs Pair from Williamson

Alexa Jordan and Autumn Ressue

The Genesee Community College softball team doubled down on a pair of Williamson High School seniors by having the dual commit to joining the Cougars' softball program next spring.

Alexa Jordan and Autumn Ressue will compete together for Genesee as they have for the Marauders the past few seasons. If their success at the high school level is any indication of their future in college then the Genesee softball program is sure to have some upcoming promising seasons.

Both Jordan and Ressue played on Williamson's co-champion softball squad last season for New York State Public High School Athletic Association's Section V Wayne County. The pair looks to repeat as champion as the Marauders look to be the team to beat with an undefeated conference record as the playoffs near.

The dual also bring to Genesee a perfect combination of talent and leadership with Jordan serving multiple terms as captain of the Marauder team and Ressue honored with a pair of all-star recognitions for Williamson.

Not only did the Cougars have the pair sign a letter of intent for softball, but both had already committed to soccer with Genesee softball coach Taylor Maurer bringing them both together to the Genesee campus recently to show off one of the finest athletics facilities in Western New York.
