Albuquerque gets a shot at Nassau's goal

The No. 2 Genesee Community College men's soccer team dropped a home contest to visiting Nassau Community College 2-1 Sept. 16.

The Lions went ahead after 13 minutes of play in the first half and got the winner with 13 minutes remaining in the second half.

Rodrigo Albuquerque tied the contest for the Cougars about nine minutes into the second half after Philip Melo's corner kick provided the opportunity for Albuquerque, after the Cougars held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

Albuquerque had six of Genesee's 10 shots on goal, as the Cougars took 24 total shots to Nassau's nine, with Adrian Bergman making four saves in net for Genesee.
