United Soccer Coaches released the association's national preseason rankings for men's and women's teams in all divisions of NCAA and junior college competition, with Genesee Community College landing in the same spot that they ended last season in D-III standings at – No. 1.

The Cougars lost 10 players to graduation but hope to continue their current 20 game unbeaten streak that culminated in the college's first-ever men's soccer National Junior College Athletic Association title last season.
