The Erie women's volleyball team won their sixth and seventh matches in a row on Saturday! The Kats defeated Genesee Community College 20-25, 25-16, 25-14 and 25-11 and Jefferson Community College 25-17, 25-8 and 25-21 to improve to 9-7 on the season.
Erie standouts on the day were Delia Lake who had 37 kills, Ciana Wiseman had 31 digs and Allison Gummo had 55 assists.
The team is playing with a lot of resiliency and determination. "We never stopped working for each point," said Coach Craig Starzynski. "That was most exemplified by our Libero, Ciana. She played incredible today. Diarah Dilbert really stepped up as a hitter and served really well today."
Next up for the Kats is Region III Pod play at Broome Community College on October 12th. Erie will face Broome and Corning Community College beginning at 1:00 pm.
