Men's Soccer Suffers First Loss

The undefeated start for the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team came to an end Sunday when the Panthers took on the #2-ranked team in the nation. Playing at Genesee Community College, the Panthers fell behind early and could never threaten, losing to the Cougars by a final of 9-0. The Panthers are now 4-1-2 overall and 4-1-1 in Region 3. Genesee is now 8-0-0 overall and 7-0-0 in Region 3.

The first goal came in the fourth minute of the game and the second came ten minutes later. One before the break made it 3-0. The second half opened with another quick score and the home team continued to control throughout the rest of the way, running away to the 9-0 final.

Looking ahead

The road ahead is still rough as the Panthers travel to #3-ranked Herkimer College on Wednesday.
