Thunderwolves lose in straight sets

Niagara County Community College had a two-game Region III win streak snapped when it lost in straight sets to host Genesee Community College on Tuesday night.

The scores were 25-21, 26-24 and 25-11 in favor of the Cougars (2-6). N-Trip fell to 2-6.

NCCC freshman Jocelyn Swierski had 13 digs and a team-best three service aces in the setback.

Also for the Thunderwolves, freshman Gianna Smalley had four kills and six digs and Kaitlin Hoadley notched 12 assists.

The T-Wolves look to get back on track at 6 p.m. Thursday when they visit Jamestown Community College in another key regional matchup.
