SUNY Niagara has season end in sub-regional

SUNY Niagara's first postseason appearance since 2014 was short-lived as it dropped a 3-1 decision to host Genesee Community College in Region III sub-regional action on Tuesday night. The scores were 25-22, 25-23, 19-25 and 25-18 in favor of GCC.

The No. 10 Thunderwolves finish the year 6-14 overall (most wins since 2016), while the seventh-seeded Cougars (15-14) advance to this weekend's Region III Tournament hosted by SUNY Niagara.

SUNY Niagara sophomore Juliana Levesque had a team-high nine kills and 25 digs in her final match with the program. Freshman Ava Gaudy had 26 assists and three service aces, classmate Cait Cliffe finished with eight kills and six digs and fellow frosh Lydia Tetrault added 20 digs.
