Generals Use Big 4th Quarter to Win at Genesee

Batavia, NY - Using a 20-8 burst in the last 10 minutes, the Herkimer Generals Women's Basketball team opened the road portion of their 2020 schedule with a 62-48 road win over Division II Genesee Community College on Tuesday afternoon. The win lifts the #9 ranked Generals to a record of 10-2 on the season.

Sophomore Namir Davis (Utica, NY) led Herkimer with 19 points, including 5-6 from the free throw line. Alysia Roldan (East Greenbush, NY) came off the bench to net 17 points while Lexi DeBeatham (Menands, NY) pitched in with 12 points.

The Generals now will turn their attention to Saturday afternoon as they will host the # 2 ranked team in the nation, the North Country Saints, at 3:00 PM in the Varsity Gym. The Saints, the defending Region III Champions, come into the matchup with a record of 14-1.
