Despite shooting just 29 percent from the field, Niagara County Community College was able to grind out a 65-52 win over visiting Genesee Community College in Western New York Athletic Conference action on Thursday night. The No. 12 Thunderwolves improved to 27-0 overall and 7-0 in conference play, while GCC dropped to 16-8, 4-3.

Sophomore Kenetria Redfern led the NCCC attack with 16 points and nine rebounds. Freshman Aubrey Halloran had 13 points, 12 boards and three blocks, sophomore Cori Dickson finished with 13 points, five rebounds and four assists and freshman Paige Emborsky contributed 10 points, eight rebounds and five steals.

Next up for the T-Wolves is a road trip to always-tough Jamestown Community College. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
