SUNY Niagara takes Cougars to five sets

SUNY Niagara dropped a five-set thriller to host Genesee Community College on Tuesday night. The scores of the non-conference match were 25-17, 14-25, 25-17, 20-25, 15-11 in favor of the Cougars. The Thunderwolves, meanwhile, dropped to 2-10 overall.

Freshman Cait Cliffe led the offense with nine kills, three service aces and 10 digs. Classmate Paige Van Every recorded eight kills and two solo blocks, freshman Myelle Bronaugh had five kills and two solo blocks, freshman Ava Gaudy notched four kills and 32 assists and fellow frosh Lydia Tetrault added 15 digs and three aces. Sophomore Juliana Levesque chipped in with 25 digs and four aces. 

The T-Wolves return to action at 10 a.m. Saturday for another Region III pod. SUNY Niagara will host Genesee Community College and Jamestown Community College.
