Men's Lax drops home finale to # 8 Genesee

Herkimer, NY - In the home finale of the 2019 Lacrosse season, the Herkimer Generals lost to the # 8 Genesee Cougars by a score of 14-2 on Saturday afternoon at Wehrum Stadium. The loss to the Cougars drops Herkimer's record to 3-4 on the year.

The Generals struggled to get anything going on offense for the day as Jace Babka (Draper, UT) scored the only 2 goals of the day for Herkimer. Goalie Jack Babka (Draper, UT) turned a great performance in goal, stopping 28 Genesee shots and keeping Herkimer in the game well into the third quarter before the Cougars pulled away for the 12 goal win.

Now Herkimer goes on the road for the final two games of the regular season as they try to lock down a Region III playoff berth. First up is a trip to Finger Lakes Community College for a game with the Lakers on Wednesday afternoon, April 24th. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
