MCC Falls to GCC 3-0

BATAVIA, NY - MCC fell in straight sets on the road to Genesee Community College, losing 14-25, 16-25, 16-25. Despite their best efforts from the usual suspects, MCC struggled to gain momentum against a dominant Genesee team.

Madalyn Robinson (Attica, NY) led the Tribunes' offensive efforts with seven kills and nine total points, while Sydney Martin (Chittenango, NY) contributed 12 assists. Elana Barrett (Langsville, OH) and Kylee Storch (Williamsville, NY) added 3 points each, but Monroe's overall attack percentage (-.059) displayed their difficulties in breaking through the Cougar defense. Serving errors also hampered MCC's rhythm, with five errors overall.

Despite flashes of strong play from MCC, particularly in the second and third sets, the team struggled to close the gap against a well-rounded Genesee squad. As MCC continues its season, they'll aim to regroup and find consistency in their play to improve future results.
