T-Wolves split six games during week

Niagara County Community College battled through horrid weather conditions to split six games during the past week. The Thunderwolves are now 10-23 overall, but 8-4 in Region III Division III play with four doubleheaders remaining. Next up is Tuesday's home date vs. SUNY Broome.

Mercyhurst NE 8, Niagara CCC 1

Freshman Katey Matteson had a double and scored the lone NCCC run. Sophomore Ana Bryer added two hits.

Mercyhurst NE 9, Niagara CCC 0

Bryer allowed just three earned runs in her first career collegiate pitching performance. Sophomore Sydney Parker had the only NCCC hit.

Niagara CCC 9, Genesee CC 0

Freshman Bree Chambers threw a two-hitter with four strikeouts. Sophomore Vicki Waugaman was 3-for-4 with a home run, double, three RBIs and three runs scored. Classmate Miranda Forti was 2-for-3 with an RBI triple, while Parker added two hits and two runs scored.

Niagara CCC 8, Genesee CC 0

Waugaman threw a three-hitter with five Ks. She was also 3-for-3 with three doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored. Bryer was 2-for-2 with two runs and freshman Tempestt Torres hit a pinch-hit three-run single.

Niagara CCC 1, Erie CC 0

Chambers allowed just three hits and struck out seven in the shutout. Waugaman, who had a double, scored the lone run on a double steal.

Erie CC 4, Niagara CCC 1

Waugaman had seven strikeouts in defeat. Bryer ripped an RBI double.
