BATAVIA, N.Y. — The Finger Lakes Community College women's soccer team traveled to take on Genesee Community College Tuesday afternoon, and the Lakers (1-2) fell to the Cougars (2-1) 8-0.
After allowing eight goals in the first half, the Lakers defense rebounded to pitch a shutout in the second half. Sophomore Sarah Barker (Bloomfield, NY/Bloomfield) made 12 saves and classmate Nichaela Commisso (Rushville, NY/Marcus Whitman) added eight saves in the loss for FLCC.
The Lakers welcome Bryant & Stratton College-Syracuse to campus at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 23.
