BATAVIA, NY… Isabelle Porter and Carleigh Folts will both be continuing their soccer careers as they both signed Letter Of Intent (LOI) with Genesee Community College. The two newest members of the  #cougarPRIDE are excited to start with their new teammates when they arrive on campus for the upcoming fall semester.

Head Coach Jeff Reyngoudt traveled to Red Jacket High School to sign his fourth player this year, Isabelle Porter. Isabelle is a 5’6” forward and had 11 goals and 6 assists for her senior season. Isabelle was also a captain of her team and a four-year varsity player. She played in the Senior Game this past fall and also made First Team All Star. Isabelle also runs Indoor and Outdoor Track. She competed in the Class C-D Championships for the 4x100 Meter Relay and Triple Jump. She is a solid student who plans to major in Criminal Justice. She hopes to be a State Trooper in the future. When Reyngoudt was asked about what he thought of Isabelle after watching her play in the Senior Game he states that, “I was blown away by her speed and strength on the ball. I know she will be an incredible asset to our team.”

Carleigh Folts traveled from Whitesville, NY to sign her Letter of Intent for the Women’s Soccer Program. Carleigh is Reyngoudt’s  fifth signee of the year. She is a 5’4” forward who had 17 goals and 3 assists this past season, but also has 70 career high school goals overall. Carleigh was also a captain for her team this past season and is a five-year varsity player. She also plays Basketball and Softball and was a four-year All Star Athlete in all three sports. Carleigh is also currently #8 in her class. Not only was Jeff impressed with Carleigh, but she was also recommended by two of our current Women’s Soccer Players, Autumn Ressue and Alexa Jordan. Both Autumn and Alexa played with Carleigh when they went to Italy together last year for soccer. Jeff and assistant coach, Macy Reyngoudt, always take into consideration what their players have to say. “Carleigh is a strong holding forward with a nose for the goal. It’s also always helpful when you already know girls on the team. We know Carleigh will excel here at GCC”, said Jeff Reyngoudt.

Jeff and Macy are still in the process of signing a few more girls for this coming fall season. They are confident that this team will be just as strong as their last. The 2018 team competed in the Elite Eight at the NJCAA Women’s Soccer National Tournament.
