BATAVIA, NY… Genesee Community College Athletics Director Kristen Schuth announced Monday that Emilee Piechocki has been named head coach of the Cougars volleyball team.

Piechocki comes to Genesee after spending the past three seasons as the Varsity head coach of the Alexander Trojans volleyball program. Under Piechocki’s leadership, Alexander has won two out of the last three Genesee Region Championships. Before that, Piechocki spent three seasons being an assistant and head coach of the JV program at Alexander. Piechocki also served as coach and director of the Alexander Elite, a club team for local players aged 16 and under. Emilee has also coached softball for the in the Attica Central School District.

“I like to keep the team involved, especially at the collegiate level, finding out what the team and individual goals are to help structure practice plans around those goals and how I can personally help achieve that,” Piechocki said. “Their input is very important in developing a family atmosphere,” Piechocki added.

Prior to coaching, Emilee was a two-sport athlete at Erie Community College, where she led the Kats defensively in 2013 as a middle hitter and was an All-Western New York Athletic Conference Player. Piechocki was also a member of the Kats softball team.

Emilee has her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the College at Brockport and her Associates from Erie Community College.

The 2018 Cougars volleyball team finished the season with a record of 15-11 and competed at both the Western New York Athletic Conference Tournament and the NJCAA Region III Tournament.
