BATAVIA, NY… Baseball player Rodolfo Rodriguez and softball player Taylor Stefaniak were named Genesee Athletes of the Week for the week of March 18.
Rodolfo Rodriguez had key hits propelling Genesee's offense to wins against CCBC Dundalk and Frederick Community College this past weekend. He is hitting .286 on the season with a .714 slugging percentage. Baseball will open Region III play on Thursday as they travel to Monroe Community College.
Taylor Stefaniak has led Genesee's offense so far in this early part of the season. With her four hits so far, Taylor has also scored a run while having a .364 batting average to begin the year. Softball looks to get on the winning track as they open up regional play on March 28 as Onondaga Community College comes to Batavia.
