The National Junior College Athletic Association released its Division III All-Americans with four Genesee Community College Cougars on that list.
Three members of the men's team and one member from the women's team were selected that included Glenn Holmes, Charlie Livesey, Ben Wattis and Miko Yamashita. The former three men's team members are all sophomores, while Yamashita has another season remaining with the women's soccer team.
Holmes co-captained the Cougars to the NJCAA title and led the nation among all defenseman in the country in points with 32 and in goals with 13 in earning first-team accolades. Joining Holmes as a NJCAA First Team All-American was GCC forward Livesey, who set a single season school record for assists with 26. That total was seven more than anyone else in the nation for 2017. Livesey led the Cougars in goals, assists and points and his totals ranked him nationally as No. 1 in assists with 26, No. 4 in points with 60 and tied for No. 16 in goals with 17.
Wattis, who scored the team's first goal in the Cougars' national championship semifinal game to help them advance to the championship game, was named as a NJCAA Second Team All-American. Joining Wattis as a NJCAA Second Team All-American - but for the women's D-III team - was Yamashita, who finished tied-44th in the nation for points with 32 and tied-26th nationally in assists with 10. The freshman led the Cougars in points and assists and was second in goals with 11.
