The No. 6 Genesee Community College women's soccer team recorded its fourth-consecutive shutout with a 10-0 road win at SUNY Adirondack Oct. 14.
During the months of September and October, the Cougars have gone a combined 11-1 with the only loss to the current top-ranked team in the country.
The Cougars have out-scored their opponents 55-4 in those last 11 wins with nine coming by shutout including the last four. Genesee keeper Jaclyn Guzdek has a nation-leading 10 clean sheets on the season to date.
Against the Timberwolves, Leah Czechowski had a team-high five-point outing with the game-winning goal and three helpers.
Diante Scheepers was in on three Cougar goals with a pair of assists and the team's last goal of the first half to register four points, while Michaela Curletta also had four points from a pair of goals.
Katline Cartwright and Bri Heers each had a goal and an assist for three-point outings.
Miko Yamashita, Julie Kommer, Alexa Jordan and Ryley O'Mara rounded out the goal scorers.
Khiva Huxhold added a pair of helpers, while Madison Hammond also had an assist in the win.
The women's soccer team will attempt to extend its win streak to five Oct. 17 at Onondaga at 4 p.m.
