Tubo Named to NSCAA All-American Second Team

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) recently announced its list of Junior College All-American's for the 2016 season, and selected GCC women's goalkeeper Katlynne Tubo (Wilson) to the All-American Second Team. The Association released its selections on Thursday.

Tubo recorded 10 shutout wins in net during her sophomore campaign in 2016 and compiled the school record for most career shutouts with a two-year total of 19. She stopped 131 saves this fall, the fourth highest total in all of NJCAA Region III, and recorded the second-best save percentage at .897.

During her two seasons at GCC, Tubo garnered All-Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) honors twice and All-Region III honors once. She led the Cougars to a total of 23 wins in net and two trips to the regional playoffs.

Genesee finished the 2016 season with a 12-6 overall record and was ranked in the NJCAA National Poll for seven consecutive weeks, reaching as high as No. 3. The Cougars lost in the quarterfinals of the regional playoffs.
