Ethan Heim took the helm as Head Coach of the Swimming & Diving program in the fall of 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a passion for swimming in his coaching debut.
Coach Heim began his collegiate career at Genesee Community College, where he graduated in 2020 with a degree in Forensics. During his two-year tenure as a swimmer for the Genesee Cougars, He secured a spot on the Region III First Team and Region III Second Team selection in his sophomore year.
After graduating from Genesee, Heim became the first-ever male athlete to join the Medaille Mavericks Swimming Program. Over the course of his time with the Mavericks, Coach Heim etched his name into the record books, holding a tally of 4 Individual Records and contributing to 2 Relay Records. Eventually, graduating in 2023 with a degree in Sport Management.
From Coach Heim: “Throughout an athlete's collegiate career, my role is not only to develop them into the swimmer they aspire to be, but also to assist them in becoming the best versions of themselves, whether that is in the classroom, the pool, or life in general.”
Coach Heim brings a combination of experience, leadership, and a genuine passion for the sport to the coaching staff. His commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and sportsmanship makes him a valuable asset to the Athletics Department and a source of inspiration for the athletes under his guidance.
