BATAVIA, NY – The Genesee Community College softball team was swept by the Herkimer College Generals Thursday afternoon. Herkimer took game one 8-1 and completed the sweep with an 8-0 victory in game two.

Taylor Stefaniak had Genesee's lone run on the day after hitting a home run in the bottom of the first inning of game one. Emily Kams pitched well for Genesee. Sam Tatarski pitched well in game two for the Cougars. Genesee had a tough time getting the offense going in the nightcap, and was unable to capitalize when they had runners on base.

Genesee (10-16) hosts Cayuga on Saturday and hosts SUNY Broome on Sunday. Both doubleheaders will begin at 1pm. The games will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com. Click on the softball team schedule and click on the link.
