The Cougars added five runs in the second, highlighted by RBI doubles from Sydney Brenton and Weber, and RBI's from Shiori Ubukata and Marissa Draper, to take a 6-0 lead.

Weber, who struck out six, worked around a leadoff walk in the fifth to retire the Spartans to end game one.

The Cougars wasted little time in game two, scoring four runs in the top of the first to jump out to an early lead. Brenton led off with one of three straight extra base hits for Genesee, reaching on a triple and scoring the game's first run on an RBI double by Ubukata. Weber followed with an RBI double of her own and eventually came around to score on a Cayuga fielding error.

Karli Phillips put together a complete game effort of her own on the mound in game two, allowing just three first inning runs to the Spartans before throwing scoreless innings the rest of the way. Phillips struck out six and allowed seven hits.

Weber highlighted a seven run third inning with a grand slam, her sixth home run of the season. GCC added to its lead with six runs in the fifth and ended the game in the bottom of the frame when Phillips pitched a clean half inning and struck out two.

Brenton went 3-4 and scored twice in game two, Weber was 2-3 with five runs batted in and three runs scored, Amanda Stratton added two hits and an RBI and Draper collected two hits, scored twice and drove in a run.
