The National Junior College Athletic Association released its eight-team bracket for the upcoming 2018 Men's Soccer Division III National Championship Tournament with the No. 3 Cougars set to face the No. 6 Bunker Hill Bulldogs on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m. EST at Wehrum Stadium in Herkimer in a quarterfinal matchup.

Genesee enters the tournament with a 17-3 record, while the Bulldogs stand at 13-4-3. The winner advances to the semifinals Nov. 9 against the winner between No. 2 Richland and No. 7 Sussex.

Genesee and Bunker Hill had two common opponents this season in Herkimer and Broome. Genesee defeated Herkimer 2-0 and Broome 5-1, while the Bulldogs lost to Herkimer 5-0 and beat Broome 3-0.

Both the Cougars and Bulldogs took regional titles through a pair of shutout wins and identical 5-0 championship game scores.

This is the Bulldogs' seventh national appearance, while Genesee enjoys its fifth national appearance and first as reigning champions.
