Reed Signs Letter of Intent With Concordia College

Genesee Community College sophomore men's soccer forward John Reed (Longford, Ireland) recently signed a National Letter of Intent and committed to  the Concordia College men's soccer program beginning in the fall.

Reed spent one season as a transfer to GCC and made the most of his time, recording 34 points which was the third highest total on the team. He scored 14 goals, including two game-winning goals, and added six assists. He appeared in all 20 of Genesee's games in 2016 and made 14 starts.

Concordia College is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II member school located in Bronxville, NY. The Clippers compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and played to an 11-6 overall record in 2016, falling in the CACC Championship Quarterfinals.

Genesee won its second consecutive Region III title last fall and advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Tournament for the second straight year. The Cougars ended the year with a 16-2-2 overall record and finished the season in third place nationally.
