The remaining four Region III Division III baseball teams will gather at Colburn Park in Newark this weekend for the regional final four May 19 – 21, hosted by Finger Lakes CC. GCC will represent the No. 2 seed and vie for a regional title against No. 1 Niagara County CC, No. 3 Hudson Valley CC and No. 4 Erie CC. The Cougars will open the double-elimination tournament against Hudson Valley on Friday with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.
Genesee advanced to the weekend after beating SUNY Adirondack in three games in a best-of-three series last weekend in the sub-regional round. The Cougars won the deciding game in 10 innings, 2-1. GCC finished the regular season 29-17 to lock up the No. 2 seed in the West Division, of which three out of the remaining four teams belong to.

The winner from this weekend's tournament will be crowned regional champion and receive an automatic bid into the NJCAA National Tournament, which will run May 27 – June 1 at Pioneer Park in Greeneville, Tennessee.
